Discover which food make your skin beautiful

For a healthy, bright skin it is very important to follow a varied and balanced diet, paying attention to a few specific considerations.
The foods that benefit the skin are many and different, but there are some that you should always have in your kitchen.

FISH
To introduce fish in your diet, especially the fat ones, rich in Omega-3, helps reduce skin inflammation, including eczema and psoriasis, which cause dryness and premature ageing. Omega-3 also improves microcirculation, essential for the health of the skin. Fish also contain high amounts of zinc, excellent for counteracting acne because it acts on the metabolism of the hormones that control sebaceous secretion.
Specifically, salmon is rich in Omega-3, which acts as a shield for UV rays. Tuna, on the other hand, preserves Collagen and prevents inflammatory processes that cause skin damage.
VEGETABLES
Eating different types of vegetables will visibly improve the health of your skin.
The “red vegetables” that take the color from the presence of Beta-carotene make it smooth and bright. Our body change Beta-carotene to Vitamin A, which acts as an antioxidant, fighting cell damage and preventing skin ageing. Vitamin A is also an excellent remedy against acne.
In particular tomato, rich in Lycopene, is able to protect the skin from sunburns. Carrots, however, that contain Carotenoids and Lycopene, protect the skin against damage from external agents. The pumpkin, rich in Carotenoids, acts to counteract the formation of wrinkles and neutralizes the damage of free radicals. Rich in Vitamins A, C and E, and powerful enzymes, it helps to purify the skin by reducing the excess sebum.
“Green vegetables”, on the other hand, stimulate cell renewal and oxidation thanks to the high concentration of Vitamin A, giving the face a young and bright look. Broccoli helps prevent signs of ageing, thanks to the power of Vitamin C that fights free radicals and stimulates the synthesis of new Collagen fibers. Spinaches, rich in Lutein, Vitamin K and Vitamin E, protect the skin against UV rays.

FRUIT
Citrus fruits, rich in Vitamin C, help to have a smooth and toned skin. This vitamin stimulates the production of Collagen, a fiber that forms the basic structure of our skin.
Pink Grapefruit, rich in Lycopene (which is a carotenoid), makes the skin smooth. Kiwi, blueberries, strawberries, oranges and cherries, rich in Vitamin C, help prevent wrinkle formation and firm the skin.
Pomegranate is one of the richest fruits of antioxidants. It fights inflammations and skin spots causing by environmental and genetic ageing.
Dried fruits also play an important role in skin health. Almonds, in particular, have a high antioxidant power thanks to Vitamin E, which can counteract skin ageing and keep the skin properly hydrated.

CEREALS
Whole grains help keep your skin hydrated and bright. Buckwheat, a great source of antioxidants, helps to reduce skin damage caused by inflammations. Wheat germs provide Biotin (Vitamin H) which guarantees the skin the proper nutritional supplements by fighting dryness.

Eggs are a great skin care product. The egg white helps to have a toned skin and to reduce inflammation and redness. Along with yolk, it helps to rid the pores and improve the skin texture.
Finally, let’s mention caffeine. Found in coffee and tea, it is great to prevent damage caused by sunlight because is able to block the process of protein division that causes damage from radiation.
