Summer is the season that everyone waits to regenerate themselves. Even though the end of the solar year is December 31st, the end of summer is an important frontier in seasonal cycle, because no matter if it is a school, academic or work year, all consider the coming of September as a fresh start.
Summer, in fact, is the period when you unplug from work and daily routine and take more time to relax, to travel and to dedicate to your hobbies.
However, what is often ignored during this season is physical activity that, because of the heat and the extra effort made during the spring months to prepare for the costume test, is abandoned in the summer to do something else.
However, by doing this, you lose the advantage of doing sports in the open air.
But you shouldn’t underestimate the benefits of doing physical activity surrounded by nature because not only they benefit the body but also the mind.
One of these is the fact that you can enjoy the environment, whether it’s a park in the city, a beach or a mountain top, diving in the wild even for a short time relax your mind and tones your body donating a pleasant feeling of wellness.
Sometimes you can hear the sentence “mens sana in corpore sano” which means that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body and to do this, in ancient times they used to practice outdoor sports to get closer to nature, thus restoring both the physical and the mind.
Today, as never before, men are absorbed in an urban and strongly anthropic reality, and so they need even more to reconnect with nature and with earth to keep balanced mind and body.
Let’s find out which sports can best suit this philosophy and that it is possible to practice outdoor having fun and enjoying the landscape.
JOGGING: Light and prolonged running is sport for everybody, one of the few that is practiced outdoors even in the winter, but try to take half an hour ride on the seaside early in the morning to experience an  experience quite different and regenerating.
NORDIC WALKING: Walking fast is often associated with trekking and hiking in the mountains but can actually be done in any environment, from the city park to a beach. But if done in the mountains, it has a special charm because the mountain environment favors the body’s re-joining with the spirit and allows you to develop your own emotional potential both alone and in a group.
BICYCLE: Bikers also use bicycles in winter but summer is definitely the season in which everyone can make the most of it even during the week. Those who can go to work by bike reduce the stress caused by traffic and the use of public transport while at the same time being trained.
YOGA IN THE PARK: yoga is the discipline that cares for both the mind and the body, trying to restore the right balance and relieve everyday stress. Many schools and associations in the summer months promote Yoga in the park because outdoor exercise favors the inner listening that is at the base of yoga.
